Spectator seating is available on the balcony level during all sessions.
The swimming pool will be configured into two eight to ten lane courses for the High School Preliminary Session, allowing the Men’s and Women’s preliminaries to be swum simultaneously in the morning. For the High School Finals Session both Men and Women will compete on a single eight lane course.
CREDENTIALS AND DECK ACCESS: Only properly-credentialed athletes, coaches, officials and workers will be allowed on the pool deck. All others may view the meet from the spectator gallery on the North side of the facility.
SEATING: There is limited bleacher seating inside the pool area for swimmers only. Please bring folding chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, etc. Non swimmers are not allowed on the deck and must sit in the stands. Swimmers should bring warm clothing, extra towels, etc.
SPECTATORS: Families will sit in the stands and are not allowed on deck unless working. Feel free to bring sleeping bags/blankets, chairs, and items to occupy your swimmer when not in the pool. These items are allowed on the pool deck only, not in the stands. Coolers are allowed on the pool deck, not in the stands. There will be a concession stand to purchase drinks and snacks. There is no running or throwing of balls (or any other object) in the building/.
PARKING: Parking will be located at the Kingston Pike Building, 2309 Kingston Pike, next to Tyson Park. . Shuttle busses will run between the Kingston Pike Building and the Allan Jones pool throughout the meet. Busses will start at 6:00am and run until 10:00pm. You may also meter park on Volunteer Blvd. If you choose not park at the designated areas you are parking at your own risk and could be subjected to being towed. You may not park at Publix or Walmart.
HEAT SHEETS: The High School Preliminary Heat Sheet will be posted on the KISL website no later than Friday morning, January 25 and the Middle School Heat Sheet will be posted on the KMSSL website at the same time. Teams and families may download and print the heat sheets without cost. There will also be heat sheets for sale for all sessions in the lobby for $5 each.
SWIM SHOP: Swim and Tri will be present for any purchasing needs. APPAREL:: T-Shirts and other meet apparel will be available for purchase
USE OF AUDIO/VISUAL::Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cellphone, is not permitted in changing areas, on deck, in the rest rooms or locker rooms. And the use of drones is not allowed.
DECK CHANGE RULE: *Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.
PICTURES DURING RACES: The officials have asked that no flash photography be used during the races as a flash start is used and no pictures from behind the starting blocks..
The high school swimming competition will follow a Preliminary session / Final session format. The Final session will be swum as two heats, Consolation and Final, for each event. The Final heat will swim first followed by the Consolation heat.
The eight fastest times in each preliminary event will qualify to swim that event in Finals. The ninth through sixteenth fastest times in each preliminary event will qualify to swim that event in the Consolation finals. The seventeenth and eighteenth fastest times in each preliminary will be listed as alternates in the heat sheet for finals.
The 500 yard Freestyle will be swum as a "timed finals" event. The slower heats will be swum during the Preliminary Session and the fastest two heats will be swum during the Finals session.
For the high school Finals session, alternates should report to the Deck Referee prior to event being called to the blocks.
