*lunch - If you want to go to Calhoun’s by the river for lunch reply to this email. Hopefully we can all sit in the same area. But we would like to call ahead and let them know we are coming.
High School Finals Session
5:00 warm-up for finals
6:00 Swimming Finals start time
We need to provide 4 timers. Each timer will only do half of the meet. Please respond to this email if you would like to time.
We would like our parents/families to sit together IF POSSIBLE. .. section 153 is in between where the boys and girls will be swimming.
SEATING: There is limited bleacher seating inside the pool area for swimmers only. Please bring folding chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, etc. Non swimmers are not allowed on the deck and must sit in the stands. Swimmers should bring warm clothing, extra towels, etc.
SPECTATORS: Families will sit in the stands and are not allowed on deck unless working. Feel free to bring sleeping bags/blankets, chairs, and items to occupy your swimmer when not in the pool. These items are allowed on the pool deck only, not in the stands. Coolers are allowed on the pool deck, not in the stands. There will be a concession stand to purchase drinks and snacks. There is no running or throwing of balls (or any other object) in the building.
PARKING: There will be free parking available. Parking will be located at the Kingston Pike Building, 2309 Kingston Pike, short 10-15 min walk- .8 mi from the pool. This lot is a gravel area lot. No swim meet parking is allowed around the building or in the paved areas of the lot-paved areas are reserved only for employees of the Kingston Pike building. Shuttle buses (yellow school buses) will run from the parking area to the facility. Buses will start at 6:00am and run until 30 minutes after the session ends. If you choose to not park at the designated areas, you are parking at your own risk and could be subjected to being towed or booted. (Parking Map) *THERE IS NO PARKING AT UNIVERSITY COMMONS - PUBLIX
HEAT SHEETS: Heat Sheets will be posted on the KISL website no later than Friday morning, January 24. Teams and families may download and print the heat sheets without cost. There will also be heat sheets for sale for all sessions in the lobby for $5 each.
SWIM SHOP: Swim and Tri will be present for any purchasing needs.
APPAREL: T-Shirts and other meet apparel will be available for purchase
CONCESSIONS: The University will have concessions available during January 25.
USE OF AUDIO/VISUAL: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cellphone, is not permitted in changing areas, on deck, in the rest rooms or locker rooms. And the use of drones is not allowed.
DECK CHANGE RULE: *Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.
LOCKER ROOMS: All applicable adults participating in or associated with this meet, acknowledge that they are subject to the provisions of the USA Swimming Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (“MAAPP”), and that they understand that compliance with the MAAPP policy is a condition of participation in the conduct of this competition. To follow this policy the UT Team room will be open to coaches and officials only.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms, or on deck behind the blocks.
Flash photography is not permitted during the meet.
If you have a meet photographer, they must have prior approval from by the KISL board and certified.
